Our gin is crafted in honor of one of our favorite places in the world. It’s distilled from wine grapes and native herbs including juniper, sage, yerba santa, bay, and elderberry to bring you the experience of a Big Sur hike in a bottle. You could enjoy it at home but it also pairs well with campfires and skinny dipping in hot springs.

Big Sur Gin - 7th Anniversary

Our classic Big Sur Gin has been aged in our Solera barrel system for seven years. Each year we only bottle half of the spirit in the barrel. We transfer the remainder to another barrel, top it off with unaged fresh gin, and then continue aging. As this program progresses, the average age will increase. When the gin is barrel aged, the peaks and valleys are rounded out and blended together to create one synchronized symphony of flavor. This year’s batch was finished in the barrel we aged our first 3-Year Single Malt Whiskey in.

Our Classic Big Sur Gin is made from wine grapes which gives it a smooth, silky mouthfeel. In addition to traditional botanicals like juniper and lemon peel, we distill our gin from white sage, elderberries, and bay leaves to make it taste like the hillsides of Big Sur.

Big Sur Gin - Cranberry

Our Cranberry Big Sur Gin begins much like our Classic Big Sur Gin. We distill a neutral brandy base from Paso Robles wine grapes and infuse it with our botanical mix of juniper, coriander, lavender, chamomile, and native plants like white sage, bay, and elderberries. We procured cranberry juice from a farm in Wisconsin (one of the main cranberry-growing regions in the US) and blended it with our Big Sur Gin and a touch of sugar. This gin was designed to be sipped along with Thanksgiving turkey or enjoyed in some tonic water by the fireside after Christmas dinner.
